DOWNMARK

Downmark Logo dark grey 2021.png

DOWNMARK® (The Down Association of Canada) is dedicated to educating the public about down and feather products. They monitor the marketplace and conduct an ongoing surveillance program called Down√Check. They purchase items at the retail level from both storefront marketplaces and online, just like you do, then they send them to an independent lab for testing. Products that fail testing are posted on the DOWNMARK® website and reported to the Canadian Government.

In the test they take into account numerous regulated and non-regulated substances. In many cases the limit values for the STANDARD 100 go beyond national and international requirements.

Product class 1: This product class includes products for babies and has the strictest requirements and limit values.

Product class 2: This product class includes products with skin contact. This comprises articles that come into direct contact with the skin to a large extent, such as blouses, shirts, underwear, mattresses, etc.
