Behind the Scenes: Equinox Collection

Updated: Apr 15

Fall Winter 2023

The Equinox Fall Winter Collection shoot was an exciting challenge. As Fall-Winter beckons, we ventured into capturing warmth and coziness, all under the bright rays of summer!

CHOOSING THE PERFECT LOCATION

We wanted a neutral yet captivating indoor venue for the shoot (to mimic Fall/ Winter). A mention by our graphic designer about her pottery studio's earthy, textured vibe ended our location search - Báhoo Studio, nestled in the heart of downtown Vancouver. This was the ideal location where Equinox would truly shine. The intimacy of the studio, a hub of connectivity, creativity, and ceramics, mirrored the essence of our collection.

With Equinox's earthy tones and intricate depiction of textures, the studio's walls came alive, offering an impeccable backdrop for our shoot. The studio's neutral palette made our collection pop, its rustic pottery serving as charming props that seamlessly blended with the ambiance.

BEHIND THE LENS

Guided by our creative director Lossen Zimmerman and brilliant photographer Tracy Ayton, every shot was magic… The natural light and shadows played perfectly into capturing the collection's elegance.

PROPS AND PREP

A successful shoot needs lots of preparation and props. We've got the evidence! Carrying beds and materials upstairs was a workout, but the result was well worth it.

LOOKING FORWARD

As the sun set that summer day, we knew we had captured the collection's essence. Until next time, dear reader, stay tuned for more captivating behind-the-scenes stories of our shoots!
